Venting

Okay, so I usually just post about the books I read, but today I feel like mixing it up a bit. Sometimes people just piss me off!! I just wish they were smart enough to realize that when they constantly baby their kids & make sure they ALWAYS get their way, they are not only totally screwing up their kids for the rest of their lives, but also being unfair to the other kids around them. And when it happens at school, it just pisses me off even more! I mean seriously, if a second grader can throw a fit & cry until they get their way, what is that teaching the other kids in the class? I am not sure which one I am more pissed about. The stupid mom who babies the kid & calls the school to complain anytime her kid gets upset because she didn’t get her way?…..or the teacher for allowing it?. …or maybe its not the teacher’s fault. It could be the Principal’s fault, maybe she is telling the teacher she has to give in to this particular big ass baby kid’s every whim. Personally I think they should kick the kid out of school. Her behavior is completely disruptive to the classroom. After all, how much can the kids really be learning other than if you cry enough you will get your way? Pretty sure the REAL world doesn’t work that way. Isn’t it about time she learned that? How long is the school going to let this go on? Obviously the mother will probably let it go on forever. Boy she sure is helping her child out. DUH!!!

On the same, yet slightly tangent subject…..how is it that another kid can get in trouble for hurting this kid’s feeling when they did nothing wrong. All this other child did was say they went somewhere, or that they got a new toy. Isn’t that what kids do? Aren’t you supposed to tell your friends when you get something. How is that bragging? That to me is so completely ridiculous it is almost beyond my comprehension. So basically in this particular classroom, not only are the kids are learning that if you act like a big ass baby you will be rewarded, but they are also being taught incorrect definitions of words. I’m pretty sure that if I tell you my daughter is out jumping on the trampoline with her friends, I am just stating that A: she is outside. B: she is getting exercise. C: by jumping on the trampoline. & D: that she is not doing it alone, but with friends. That is NOT bragging. If I tell you that she got a zhu zhu pet in her Easter basket, that is NOT bragging. Bragging would be something more like “I got to got to the Taylor Swift concert, and the Miley Cyrus concert, and the Jonas Brothers concert & the Demi Lovato concert, because my mom takes me to every concert I want to go to.” Somehow that seems a little more like bragging to me. Just saying…..

Okay, I think I am going to get off my soapbox. I think I feel a little bit better. But I will be making a phone call to the school on Monday requesting a teacher OTHER than the one I spoke of above for my daughter’s teacher next year.
